Theresa and others - these are my great-grandparents: 19. THEODORE4 BAKER (SARAH ELLEN3 RICE, MICHAEL2 , JOHN1 ) was born 12 Dec 1872 in Rush County, IN, and died 19 Aug 1947 in Near Waldron, IN. He married JESSIE M. STRAHAN 16 Dec 1901. Theodore was buried 21 Aug 1947, Blue Ridge Cemetery, Liberty Twp., Shelby, IN Children of THEODORE BAKER and JESSIE STRAHAN are: i. UNKNOWN5 BAKER, Stepchild; m. RALPH BAKER MOORE. ii. EMMA BAKER. Children of Theodore(a?) and Jessie Strahm are Thelma Baker who married Ralph Waldo Moore Sr. Emma Baker always single. Ralph & Thelma had 2 children, Ralph Moore m. Carmelita Essex ==>I am oldest child of Ralph and Carmelita and Robert Moore -married several times. Where did you get the info that Grandma was a stepchild? Not heard that before-but with my family, it could be one of those "family" secrets <grin>. G-grandpa was Several years older than g-grandma (i think she was 12 or so when she was married) and he died before I was born. G-grandma died when I was in high school so I did know her. Jessie Strahm's parents were apparently divorced (haven't found that yet-and that was a secret!) and both remarried (do know those names) -so maybe that is where the step shows up? Always wondered why she married so young - they were in IL at the time (maybe step dad was a little too friendly?). I haven't documented much in this line yet - but if you have questions or information-email me.
