I told a lie.... Livincey is in the cemetery book, don't know how I missed her the first time. She is buried two rows from Thomas. L:ivince is in the old section on the west side of the drive in Row 5, born 7/25/1844 died 4/22/1854, aged 9 years, 9 months. Thomas is resing in Row 7. Both are the last names listed for the row readng from north to south. Susan cpentola@yahoo.com wrote: This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. They are listed in the 1840 Census in Liberty Township - under the name of Thomas Douty. Thomas Dowty died November 11, 1846. Levicy Dowty (their daughter) died April 22, 1854. They are both buried in the Blue Ridge/Cynthianna Cemetery. They are supposedly buried closely together. Does anyone know of someone who would take a picture of their headstones for me? I had one of the headstone of Thomas, but my computer crashed and I lost it. The headstone for Thomas is readable, but doesn't photograph well - might take a few camera angles. In the 1960's Levicy is said to have a headstone, but I don't know the condition now. If anyone would have any obituaries or any other information about the family I would really like to obtain it. Thank you. ==== INSHELBY Mailing List ==== Don't forget to often check-out our website at www.rootsweb.com/~inshelby/index.htm History is the witness that testifies to the passing of time; it illumines reality, vitalizes memory, provides guidance in daily life and brings us tidings of antiquity. - Cicero For questions regarding the list, contact me at mmweaver1864@sbcglobal.net Thanks!
