The Christian Church was a more liberal version of the Baptist Church, so they are closely related. What I read in that previous passage was that they changed from Baptist to Christian, then later built a new church in Morristown rather than Hanover. There were houses and at least one store in Hanover at one time. I suppose with Morristown being so close, it was more convenient to relocate there as the town of Hanover died out since Morristown had stores, churches, bank, etc. I recall reading that at one time Hanover was quite a bustling little town. What the hopes were for a town in those days and reality were often quite different things. There were those who thought Gwynneville was going to be quite a town too. Of the three, only Morristown has become a solid little village, while Gwynneville is barely hanging on and Hanover is kaput. Jill
