    1. Re: [INSHELBY] BISHOP
    2. re: Roxanna NORVEL Bishop I think this should read Roxanna TOWN NORVELL Bishop. On the 1880 Census, Roxana Bishop 38Y with children Minnie 13Y, Molly 9Y & Elizabeth Bishop 7Y are listed with the family of Sylvester Town as a daughter & grandchildren. Shelby County marriages: Norville Robert Town Roxanna 03 Mar 1861 Bk: 7 p. 513 Rufus Bishop Roxcena Norvell 01 Nov 1865 Bk: 8 p:418 A Robert A. Norvell, listed as the son of James & Margaret (prob. Griffith), is listed as buried in a cemetery which no longer exists, Norvell Cemetery of Brandywine Twp. Robert A. Norvell Apr. 20, 1863 27Y, 3M, 16D Roxanna's parents were prob. Sylvester Town (c. 1821- ) & Mary Monroney (1820-1864). I don't know if this is the correct Robert Norvell, but there is a Robert Norvell with Civil War service. A Robert Norvell served with Co. D, Indiana Infantry, 33rd Regiment (Union) which was organized September 16, 1861in Indianapolis. Most of the Regiment was captured after the battle of Thompson's Station, TN on March 4-5, 1863 and exchanged May 5, 1863. I don't know which family Rufus Bishop belonged to and would be interested to learn more about the members of this family.
