Take Miller Street in Shelbyville south crossing McKay Road at the High School. Continue south on the same road and it is called "Columbus Road or Pike". Fenns is on this road about 3 miles south. As reported in this space not too long ago, you will find a group of homes, an old grain elevator and grain bins, a feed store, and be able to tell where they ripped out the RR tracks that gave it the name "Station". "Fenn" was the last name of families living in the area. Parrish Cemetery is just a little further south on Columbus Road and on a hillside to the left, sometimes called Fenns Cem. ----- Original Message ----- From: <SRKMK@aol.com> To: <INSHELBY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 19, 2005 7:19 PM Subject: Re: [INSHELBY] Fenns Station - Where is it located? > > > > ==== INSHELBY Mailing List ==== > Don't forget to often check-out our website at www.rootsweb.com/~inshelby/index.htm > > History is the witness that testifies to the passing of time; it illumines reality, vitalizes memory, provides guidance in daily life and brings us tidings of antiquity. > > - Cicero > > For questions regarding the list, contact me at mmweaver1864@sbcglobal.net > > Thanks! > Melinda > > ============================== > Search the US Census Collection.
