In the Shelby Co., Marriage Affadavits 1876-1879 is an affiant of William L. Harrell to the marriage of Isaac Johnson and Mary B. Stewart. I believe this is William L. Harrell son of Henderson H & Margra (Williams) Harrell. Henderson H. Harrell died in April of 1879, so it would be logical for him to sign for a marriage of a sister or a relative. If I have this correct, one of his sisters, Mary Edie or Mary J. Harrell may have married John L. Rhoades on 20 Mar. 1867. John L.Rhoades/Rhoads is also shown as marrying Mary Eliza Phares on 18 Nov 1852 and marrying a Minerva Stewart on Aug. 7, 1870. Would appreciate help in figuring who these wives were. Was Mary B. Stewart w/o Isaac Johnson the same as Mary Edie d/o Henderson & Margra Harrell? Was there more than one John L., and was John L Rhoades who married Mary B.
