The dates for David Hoover don't match up for him to be the son of John and Elizabeth, but I still bet there was a connection, especially since David and Margaret Hoover's son Samuel was born in Kentucky. I think it is a good bet that it was Jessamine County KY. Thanks so much again. I appreciate your help.
