She was a widow with two young sons, John M. and William L. at the time of her marriage to Leonard they are on the 1870 and 1880 census for Shelby County Noble. I have found a death date for Leonard of 21 March 1891 Geneva. Also on the 1870 census the last child is shown as Franklin b. 1868 but on the 1880 census he appears as Benjamin 1868. Would like to find living relatives of this family. As well as a death date for Lucinda. Appreciate any help. Jil

I have made notation of relation to my family history at the top. You can use the license for whatever purpose that you want. George Washington Ferris and his wife Anna Jane Copple are the parents of Dr. Justus Clemet Ferris M.D. that married my relative Josephine Amelia Metz, daughter of John and Odelia Meyer Metz , granddaughter of Valentine and Ottilda Fuerst Meyer. George and Anna Copple Ferris owned a farm in Van Buren Township Shelby County. He was born July 1841 in Illinois and she was born August 1842 in Shelby County, Indiana. I do not know where they are buried but I believe they are buried in Shelby County. If you happen to locate them I would appreciate knowing the cemetery. Also if you happen to known anything about the minister that married them. Strange initials in front of his surname with M.P. C. after it probably referring to local church? Thank You Kindly, Andy Sauer 2590 West State Highway 252 Flat Rock, Indiana 47234-9537 Phone: 587-5310 E-mail Andy Sauer sauer@svs.net Ferris--Copple 1865 marriage cert.jpg

    3. Hi Terri Hauk Just wanted to bring you up to date on my research. I have not found any thing new on the parents of John Dick. I have not followed any of the Hauk's line, my line is John Dick's son Samuel and down the line. I have marrage records of John & Nancy, and also Susannah King's marriage to John. I also have death records of many of the family that died in Winamack, Pulaski Co IN. The only thing I know about the Hauk's is what you already know. Sorry! If you find anything about John (sr), please let me know at dickl@frontiernet.net. It seems that Dick Senior and family just dropped out of sight.
