Can anyone please tell about this group that existed well before 1915? Who were the players? Any surviving photos?
You are refering to the Philip Hoop home. It's kind of like the Red Mill, has been photographed and painted a lot. We have a lot of information about the Hoops at the Joseph Boggs Historical Society in Boggstown. Interesting obituary on Benedict Hasler. Not my direct family, but son Rudolph married a Harrell descendant, so I follow them. My research shows he was born in Switzerland & not Sweden as the obituary reads. (See naturalization papers & census records.) Does anybody know the surname of Benedict's wife, Elizabeth?
