Hi Virginia I have a bit of info on McNeeleys and on Trees, some times it was miss spelled Treece in obits and such but it was actually from Germany as Dries or Driess then Trees. I do believe though some did change the spelling to Treece and various other spellings. I'd be glad to send you some info. My great great grandmother was Nancy Trees and she married Nicholas McColley. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Indiana Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Bi.2ADI/537 Message Board Post: I've never met him, but I've been told his last name is Smith, first name might be Ray. I had a picture of him. He had natural reddish hair, fairly lanky. He may have been from Shelbyville IN and born around 1935. I have no information on him other than what I stated. He never married my mother, so I doubt his name would appear in my bith announcement in the paper. I was born in 1956 (or so it's believed, I have two birth certificates, one for 1951 and one for 1956) in Shelbyville IN. I was thinking of getting a sample of my blood tested to see who would match my blood type. Can anyone help me or give me ideas as to go about finding him or any more information on him?
