We are hopeful we will have our sites back up in the very near future but have no firm date set for reconnection. The email address for the GLO Land Patent Records staff is records@es.blm.gov -- they may be able to assist with specific requests. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you, Jim, The Ancestry site will get your ancestor's location and acreage, but not the county, or the image of the certificate. BTW that certificate often gives middle names and a co-buyer that the site does not list. I always look at the original. Maybe it will be back soon, we can but hope. Carleen
There is a cemetery just north of the church you can see 74 from the cemetery Brenda

Many of my relatives are there. The DAKE, FANSLER, and SURBER family, among others are all related. I live in California, and have never been in Indiana, but my ancestors were from Moral Twp. Wish I had some helpful information for you. What sort of thing are you looking for? Best of luck with this work. Jeanne Surber Eureka, CA

I am assisting some descendant's of the Dake family in restoration of Dake Cemetery (aka Fansler). It is in section 25 of Moral Twp near London. A map on the Shelby Co. GenWeb page shows another Dake Cemetery in section 12 of Moral Twp., north of Pleasantview. Does anyone have any information on the Dake Cemetery north of Pleasantview in section 12? I was joking about them buying the BLM but the fact remains that the BLM land records can be searched on Ancestry. . . James R. I can't believe that Ancestry would be allowed to control the exclusive public access to BLM. Is there anything that can be done about this?
