Printed by Tippecanoe Press, Inc., Shelbyville, Indiana 1968. There are several references to Jeremiah Bennet, the Bennet House and a Michael Bennet. There are also two other books printed around the same time with history of the county. Shelby County All Riled Up ( covers mainly the civil war period) by John Wetknight, and a picture history. I own all three. Most of the other names on your list are also mentioned in the first book. I am sure copies of these would be available in the Shelbyville library.

    3. From Barb Huff: Guardianship of Mordecai, William and Nancy Means, 1859-1871 http://www.rootsweb.com/~inshelby/courthouse/estate_records/gdn_means.htm Very interesting collection of receipts that describe not only how the children dressed, but also the names of tutors and merchants in Noble Township. References to connections in Kentucky. Contractor's bill even gives some idea of how the house was constructed/maintained. Our thanks to Barb for all her hard work!
