Counld you give some more information bout James and Jane. If this marriage is the one u need, then by 1850 most of the children would probably be gone. Do you have any more information which would help in the search, children's names or poss. names....if they died in Shelby County, etc. I would love to help you find information I just need t know what you know. :) Susan Jknitl@aol.com wrote: There is supposedly someone who has done extensive research on the Conner line in Shelby County, but I've never been able to contact this person. I am also interested in knowing whether there are records for the Nat'l Military Home. An ancestor died there in 1908 and even though I have his obituary, CW record and death certf. none of these items lists the names' of his parents. This was a home for veterans and from reading his CW documents, this ancestor was able to be fully evaluated concerning his physical condition -- seems he had all the ailments he claimed he had in order to try for an increase in pension, prior to entering the home. Jill, Try the Cherry album, specifically these pages http://www.rootsweb.com/~inshelby/pictures/pic_cherry14.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~inshelby/pictures/pic_cherry15.htm Nancy -- Check the description on page 14 (above). I must have copied it incorrectly -- it doesn't quite make sense. What are the names of the two people in the top picture?
