There is no listing in the Asbury Cemetery for William H. Arnold, although his obituary says he is buried there. For several years, I've been tracking the 7 children of Sam and Emma Arnold, longtime residents of Gwynneville and Morristown. One elusive child was William H. Arnold, born in 1889 either on August 3 or September 3. I have new information that William died on June 28, 1931 in Danville, Illinois after spending time in a National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers located in that city. Preliminary information says William was buried in Morristown, Indiana. If so, it would likely have been in the Asbury Cemetery where other family members are buried. To date, though, I have no documentation that William is, in fact, in the Asbury Cemetery. Does anyone on the list have access to information about burials at the Asbury Cemetery? If so, I'd very much like confirmation that William is there along with the location of his grave. Thanks in advance! Dick Felts Gainesville, GA

Breach of promise case, Florence Johnson vs Alonzo Tyner, 1872 http://www.shelbycountyindiana.org/newspaper/news_johnson.htm If I did the math correctly, $10,000 in 1879 would be the same as $222,650.00 in 2008. I wonder how it turned out. P
