[Special to the Sentinel] Scottsburg, Indiana, Sept. 25-A well-to-do farmer named Boon Rose, who had been under the influence of liquor for several days, was found dead below Vienna this morning in a ditch alongside of the J. M. and I. Railroad track. No bruises were found on the body, but two terrible gashes were found in his head. One seemed to have been made with a sharp instrument not found on a locomotive or cars. An inquest is being held. The deceased had quite a sum of money when last seen alive.
