Near where Houghland lived. Their stone was later moved to the Zoah Cemetery. (note: roads have been renamed in recent years, Boatman Rd. is the same but the numbered ones have been named). Taken from the Scott Co. Chronicle July 8, 197? Alexander Ardery was born in County Tyrone, Ireland in 1785. He came to the United States in 1807. We do not know when he came to Scott County, but he was counted in the 1820 census, with his wife Susannah and their five children. So he was one of our early pioneers.
