Not related, just trying to help. In 1850 the family was in Ky, Woodford county, Dist 2, and was headed by Moses Hoover, 36, a blacksmith, and included Louisa, 36, - Robert, 7, - Mary E, 6, - Sarah J, 5, and Alice A, 8 months. All born in Ky. In 1860 the family was still there, with no township noted but the P.O. was Versailles, and was again headed by Moses Hoover, 46, a blacksmith, and included Louisa, 46, a toll gate operator, - Robert, 18, a laborer, - Mary, 16, a laborer, - Jane, 14, - Alice, 10, - Eudora, 8, and W.S., 6. All born in Ky. In 1870 the family family was in Ind, Scott county, Jennings township, and was again headed by Moses Hoover, 45, a blacksmith, and included Eliza (Louisa?), 43, keeping house, - Alice, 22, - Dora, 20, and Winfield, 14, a blacksmith. Don't be concerned about the discrepancy in the ages of Moses and Eliza, happens all the time in the censuses. Again all born in Ky. In 1880, still in Scott county, Jennings township, Moses Ho! over was 64, a blacksmith, born in Ky and both parents in Pa, was living with his daughter Sarah and her husband Wm Trisler. Winfield S Hoover married Amanda Cain in Scott county on 9 Mar 1879, source is book 5, page 87. Could not find them after that. Hope this helps.
