Listmembers: Since last Thursday a number of persons have signed up for our new website. We are coming along really great, we have family trees, photos,queries,burials,history,some wills and various other Kentuckiana related items entered. We are trying to build the site to how we want it. Thanks to several of the first subscribers such as Sue Carpenter,Gordon Durnil,Sharon Byerly,and Jane Slaughter we are establishing an informative page to go for Kentuckiana research. The only thing is because we were unable to gain a Genconnect page with Rootsweb for Kentuckiana we have had to utilize another avenue at the MyFamily.com websites. This has preset categories but we are altering them for our usage in the following manner: NEWS: for any comments or introductions or great research websites HISTORY:for cemeteries,burials, marriages,bios or historical accounts REVIEWS: for census records ,deeds and bible records FILE CABINET: For any other posts such as queries,wills,manumission papers. Making sure to precede the entry with what it is and what county. PHOTOS:We have many photos entered and we are creating a category for unidentified photos so maybe you might know someone. We are trying to alter the categories to use for our purpose much as a Genconnect page.To access this site you must be sent an invitation that includes a password and login name. The only problem we are having is that if you already have a site registered with MyFamily.com then you will need to log into that one and go to the link for Universal Login in order to set it up for the same password and login name for both sites. We would really love to have everyone at least visit the site and then make up your mind. We even have an instant messenger for this so we can communicate while working on the page.
