My name is Debbie Jennings and I have become the new listowner to this mailing list. I look forward to alot of great researching and genealogy tips here. I am also the admin for other lists and have developed the following set of Guidelines for subscribers to mailing lists. I may be contacted at any time at [email protected] and I will try to reply to you as soon as I possibly can. Thanks and Happy Hunting! GUIDELINES for SUBSCRIBERS to a MAIL LIST PLEASE DO NOT SEND - * PERSONAL MESSAGES - POST to the LIST or PERSONALLY to the INDIVIDUAL??? Just ask yourself if most of the people on the list would want to read it; if so, send it to the list; otherwise, send it privately. * PRIVATE MESSAGES sent to you, without permission from the sender. * ATTACHMENTS (attached files) of any sort to mailing lists. This includes GEDCOM files, zipped files, and any other type of attachment. * HTML or RTF (rich text format) formatting Your message will be rejected and returned to you by the RootsWeb Server. * VIRUS HOAXES or CHAIN LETTERS (SPAM)or COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING, PERSONAL CHAT LETTERS. ============ LANGUAGE & COMMENTS Do not use abusive or degrading communication of any form on a RootsWeb list. (There's always the "Delete" key.) Do not send "bashing" comments to the list. BE NICE to one another. CRITICIZING - if you feel someone has acted or said something inappropriately or have some other complaint, please refer it to me. Although you may be upset or irritated by something occasionally, please refrain from posting instructions or advice about inappropriate actions to the list or another subscriber; doing do just continues the subject endlessly as each new comment provokes a new response. If it is a reply or futher info you think would benefit the majority then please place on the list. Following these guidelines helps to provide a list more enjoyable to all.
