Hi! I just recently discovered that my great-great grandmother's maiden name was Hoagland/Hougland/HOGLIN. She was Mary Hougland who married Gabriel Guyn in 1823 in Fayette CO, KY. Their daughter Mary Guyn married Lorenzo Dow Montgomery in 1843 in Woodford CO, KY. The entire family of Montgomery and Guyn and Garrett moved to the vicinity of Scott CO, IN where they lived and died. I'm now wondering if Mary Hougland's family didn't also move. Do you have any information about the Hougland family that might include Mary? The Guyn name has also been spelled Gwin and Quinn.
