She took the picture to his sister who is still living to see if she knew who was in the picture. The only ones she knew were Roy and Elsie and her parents and siblings. She remembered Roy and Elsie very well. She copied the picture and gave it to me. These are the only pictures that I have of Roy and Elise. She was going to go through her pictures and see what else she has. If there is anything, I will send them to you. The only Yount pictures that I have are of my gg-grandmother, Rachel Yount who married Henry Edward Craig. She was the d/o Jonathan Yount and Amanda Dickey. Author: howserc82 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.indiana.counties.scott/1209.1.2.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: What child of John A. Alexander and Nancy Vest are you from? I am going to attach a couple of pictures. In the large family picture. Lewis Cass LaMaster (my great-grandfather) is holding his son Glen with his wife Rosa Williams to his right. The two little girls in white are his daughters, Lucille and the smallest, Sula (my grandmother) In the back row, the second from the right is Roy LaMaster and to his right the small woman is Elsie Yount LaMaster, his wife. We think the man with the mustache is Melvin LaMaster, their brother. Some people think it might be John A. LaMaster. The second is the LaMaster brother's with their instruments. Sitting with fiddles are Cass and Walter LaMaster. Standing are Jeremiah LaMaster and Roy. This picture was taken at the same time as the other one (same location, Cass and Roy have on the same clothes) In my opinion, if John A. "Brooker" LaMaster was the older man with the mustache in the other picture he would be in this picture with his fiddle, as he was a well known fiddle player. John A. LaMaster's obituary HIS FIDDLE STILLED FOREVER John A. LaMaster, aged 89 died at the home of his son, Cass LaMaster near Lexington, early Friday morning. Mr. LaMaster had lived in Scott County all his life, and was known to hundreds by his nickname "Brooker". He was a natural born violinist and nothing pleased him better than to have an audience surrounding him and his fiddle, and he could play for hours. He is survived by his sons, Cass, Walter, Roy, Mell, Jerry of Scottsburg and Richard of Terre Haute. The funeral was held at the home of Cass LaMaster at 2 p.m. Saturday, with burial in charge of H. B. Littell at Clegg Cemetery near Henryville. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: howserc82 Surnames: LaMaster, LeMaster, Gladden, Yount Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.indiana.counties.scott/2107/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I was recently given the picture that I have attached to this post. I know who some of the people are, but not all. If anyone researching this family knows, please contact me. This picture was taken approx. 1917. Glen LaMaster is the baby in the picture and he was born in 1916. The man holding Glen is my great-grandfather, Lewis "Cass" LaMaster, the woman next to him is my great-grandmother, Rosa Williams LaMaster. The tallest little girl in white dress and bow in her hair is Lucille LaMaster (Gladden). The smallest girl in white dress and bow is my grandmother, Sula LaMaster Craig. According to my great-aunt, the second man from the right in the back row is Roy LaMaster and the short lady is Elsie Yount LaMaster. She thinks that the man in the front with the mustache is Mel LaMaster.....some people think it is Cass's father John Booker LaMaster. John Booker LaMaster was a well known fiddle player.
