Gail - It looks like your ancestor had land that was in very close proximity to that owned by Henry Ditch and Jacob Overturf. Those are surnames that dealt with my family of John McCullough and his several sons that came into the Ripley/Jefferson County areas from Montgomery County KY. David McCullough, son of John, in fact, bought, I believe 160 acres of land in November 1816, when Indiana was still a territory. Did your ancestor migrate to Indiana from Montgomery County KY?
