I am also looking for Jones in that time frame and area. Could these be brothers? I was wondering if you had any James Jones in your files that came into Dabney, (Ripley Co.) Indiana and around 1826 he married a Kathline Williams (d/o Issiac Williams) I know it is a long shot but nothing else has worked for several years on my Jones line. He had a court dispute over crop sharing in Jefferson Co., IN in 1816 with Thomas Hudson & around 1830 was killed by him at a town meeting according to his daughter's obituary. I do not know where my Jones came from before Kentucky or who his siblings or parents were and want so badly to connect with someone else who is looking in that area.
