IN: page 118a Jacob Hopple, b: Feb. 1840, Martha E. b: May 1850, Franklin E., b: Aug. 1874. 1880 Census for Redding, Jackson Co., IN: pg. 182c Jacob Hopple, age 40; Mattie, wife, age 35; William, son, age 8 and Frank, son, age 6. In 1910, Jacob and Mattie (Martha) are on pg. 155b in Jackson Co., IN. In 1860 for Spencer Twp., Jennings Co., IN, pg. 292 John Hopple, age 67, wife, Nancy, age 45 and son Jacob, age 20. There are other children, but I think these are the ancestors you are looking for for Steve and Ed.
