Hi List I just received a obits from somebody in Cannelton, on a sister of my line. She was Margaret Wilber nee JACKSON born 31 July 1831 in Ripley. My line is Mary Jane GEST nee JACKSON she is born about 1825 in Ripley their father is John JACKSON. In the obits it has (Her father was a Presbyterian in religion & in the early days of 1800 or thereabouts with ox-team brought his family across the Alleghenies from Syracuse, N.Y. to Ripley county, Ind, near Osgood, where he spent the remainder of his days on a farm). Also had he came from the Southern portion of Ireland. Would anybody have anything on this John JACKSON? please. Also where is Osgood? & are there any records I could look at online for there?
