The Thomas I am looking for is not related to me as far as I know but in my ggg-grandmother's obit. she said that her father, James Jones was murdered by him at a town meeting near Holton, IN. (Ripley Co) around 1830. The spelling for this Thomas is either Hudson or Hutson. I have looked in all of the newspapers in that area with no luck. I am wondering what & how it happened. They are listed in the courthouse in Jefferson Co., Indiana in a dispute concerning certain work & labor & the raising of a crop during the year of 1815 in the Jeffersonville district and known then as Mount Tibbles.
