They are my gggg grandparents. I am descended from Susanna Williams who married John Miller Griggs in Ripley in 1829. Have found quite a bit of information on her and her siblings. The cemetery with that name is located in a small town called Penntown near the intersection of SR 46 and SR 101. The big cemetery there is not Pipe Creek. Pipe Creek Cem is at a one room old church building that is now I believe the Sieg Survey Office. The cemetery is behind the church and has many early settler's graves. One on ancestory.com that listed William's father as Sanford Palmer: Ripley County, Indiana, Palmers. On that tree, Nancy Martin is stated to being his wife. Information I shared in that earlier post, sharing this possible connection, was shared from what I came across on FamilySearch's site/records but - again - nothing tying the bow ... On myheritage.com I came across another tree - I think McFall but not sure of the tree name off the top of my head (as my handwriting is terrible at times when taking quick notes) - listing a William Palmer as Blaney and John's father ... but William's wife stated to being Mary Morton and the tree didn't mention Sanford or any siblings of Wiliam. Another myheritage family tree, Conroy, had a Mary Morton as a spouse of a Palmer but her birth date was listed as 1928 in the USA ... That is where I am in the attempt to get past Blaney and John to add another branch onto the tree I am working on over here. I don't know how William's (or Sanford) name came into play ... It is not a matter of you "verifying" said source, but instead stating the actual source name and any other identifying information so that those of us who are interested in adding your newly found information can list the source along with it. This is how genealogy is done. I am not questioning your source, but am merely asking you to list it here in this Palmer board message so that anyone interested can use your information. Genealogy information is not regarded as true if a source is not listed. PLEASE respond with all of the information (name, date, location, etc.) of this source(s). Thank you, Sherri L. Anyway ... in regard to Palmer/Ireland origin: Someone passed along the info and I used FamilySearch.org and found some more names/info ... but I did say, in my original posting, that I shared it in hopes that it may be helpful - and I also stated that it was not wholly confirmed so was not presenting as "fact", in my opinion, but as something I came across in my research, in conjunction with other information shared by family members, to help try to find the where (and why). Is this the elusive link? I don't know. So I shared it on here, perhaps erroneously on my part since it was not 100% confirmed, in with some of my other researching that I had come across about that branch of the family.
