Hello, I just discovered my GGG Grandmother , Mary Rausch Seferman, was born in Ripley County Indiana, around 1842. The documents show her father, Frank Rausch (many spellings on different documents) and mother Elizabeth Meisberger were born in Germany. I have not been able to find this family in the Ripley census, in 1850 or 1860. Mary went on to marry Matthias Seferman in Madison, IN and died in that city in 1902. Any help/advice would be most appreciated on finding any info. on the Rausch/Meisberger families. I notice in the white pages there are still Meisberger's living in the county. Thank you, Cece from Atlanta

I believe that my grandfather, Robert and your great grandfather Franklin were brothers. My Dad, who has passed away and whose name was also Robert, said that his Dad, Robert E had three brothers (Frank, Bert and ?) that he knew of and one sister, Laura. I have found that my grandfather's the middle initial and name has changed over the years. I believe(but have not been able to prove) that my grandfather's middle initial of "E" probably stood for Erwin but the spelling changed to Irwin and then the name changed to Irvine and now to Irvin. My grandfather, Robert married Annie C.E (Catherine Elizabeth)Berry in Wheeling, West Virginia on 07/07/1909. Robert was 24 and Annie was 18. They had three childern, Laura, Kathryn and Robert, Jr.(my dad).My grandfather died of 3rd degree burns on March 3, 1938. He was caught in an gasoline explosion at a gas station in Madisionville, a suburb of Cincinnati. M! y father, Robert Jr, married Ruth Hunter in 1938. They were unable to have children but adopted my brother, Robert III and myself, Pamela. Most of these folks have passed away. My Aunt Laura, who we called Aunt Dee died in 1954, my grandmother died in 1965, My father and Aunt Kay died in 1994 and my brother Robert III passed away last year, 2007. For what ever reason my family did not associate with the Richardson side of the family after my grandfather's death and I don't think my dad knew very much about the Richardson family. He did always think that there was some American Indian blood on that side of the family but I have not had time to go back and do more research on the Richardson's in Indiana. Also, my Dad did tell me he thought Frank was a stone artist of some kind and did columns and statue work in Columbus Ohio. I don't know if that is true or not but it is interesting. I would like to know if you find out anything else about the Richardson-Ogden side of the family. I hope this gives you some additional information about the Richardsons.
