I have requested photos of the headstones and that htey be transferred so that I can add to their info on FAG. I do have obits from back then in other places- do you know of any nearby newspapers? Does Ripley Co have an active genealogical society, or anyone who can research? I would love to see the info you have about George Salyers- he could be a brother to Jane. I believe her father's name was Jonathan SALYERS. Thanks! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Very cool! Most of what I have has been scanned, so I can email you copies. Joseph's pension file is huge, though--about 250MB at full resolution. I'll either have to put that on a CD and mail it to you, or post it online somewhere. Let me know what you'd prefer. Also, if you'll tell me what you already know about Peter's and Mary's families, I'll try to fill in any gaps that I can. There are some papers of a Hammond, I am unaware of who he is at the moment. Do you have paper copies or scans? Unfortunately, I don't have anything on Margaret--my line descends through her brother Joseph, and that's the only sibling I've looked at so far. I have his military pension file, if you'd like to see that--it's quite extensive. I have a few other documents that mention Peter and his family from Cabell Co., WV, but frankly, a lot of what I have is not well organized at the moment. I've traced Margaret's mother's line--hers is very interesting. I have Peter's father Robert in Stokes Co., NC, but that's as far back as I've gotten with him. I have some info on the related Scales line, though. Please email me and we'll trade documents! I'd be very interested to see Margaret's side of the family. My email is rmuckerheide _at_ yahoo.
