The Toph Papers are a 3000+ pages collection of family histories, that Ms. Toph created in the 1930s (after she retired from teaching) by traveling the county, and gathering family trees/history from as many people as she could, and writing these down. These papers are not part of her 'the Peoples' History' collection. That collection is mainly anectdotal. How are you guys doing? I see you in that little Around Madison (??) paper, which I get once in awhile. Lori

It's interesting they're in Ripley County. All my immigrant male Geigers' first names were Johann...but that was their Saint's name, they didn't go by that. There is one Minnie Geiger, but she married into the family, so there would have to be a Thomas or Conrad Geiger associated with her. So I don't think there is a match. Because I have nearly all the immigrant siblings traced down to today's children, definitely all those that stayed in Ripley County. But...thanks for the input. I wish I had some data for you. Ripley County has some pretty good web sites, with cemetary names and birth/marriage/death records. Good luck! Brenda Geiger
