I've just learned there was a book printed in the 1980s about St Anthony's Church and it's members. It was printed by Saint Anthony Messenger, 1615 Republic St., Cincinnati, Ohio 45210. Does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of this book? Thank you very much, Sandi
I don't know if we have a connection or not. A great aunt of mine, Elizabeth Louise HILL (b. 18 Apr 1883. d. 1960) married Joseph Franklin GRAY (b. 1873, d. 1965) on 17 Dec 1903 in either Dearborn or Ripley county. They are both buried at St. Paul's Methodist cemetery outside Sunman. Their children were Orvia (male), Anna, Clarence, Frank, and John GRAY. I know nothing more about them and am looking for information. Is this GRAY family at all related to your family? Hi List, James Jones was my 4-great grandfather who married 12 March 1826 Catherine/Katherine (called Katy) Williams in Ripley County, Indiana His daughter, Susannah Jones married my James Harrison Cowan in 1849 in Ripley Co., IN. They were from Dabney IN. (some called it Otter Creek) Susannah stated that her dad was murdered by a Thomas Hudson/Hutson at a town meeting when she was only 2 years old. That would have made it about 1830 for his death. I have gone through every paper, every library, & every courthouse around....cannot find any record of his death. Isn't that very strange? I did find a case in courthouse just prior to that of a dispute over crop sharing together which took place in 1816 in Jefferson Co., Indiana. Does anybody out there know anything about this family? Please e-mail Carolyn at casu01@aol.com
