It is good to hear from you I remember being up at there house once during the summer. I also remember coming up when he had his bypass surgery. My memories are kind of sketchy but I have some good memories of being up their. I also have the same book plus the book about Thomas Platter and I am going to get the book by Felix Platter also. They are related to us just have to make the jump. I am also getting a file from another branch of the tree and will be glad to share it with you.

I am not related to the Platter's but my half brother is a grandson of Charles "Raymond" Platter. I know this is going to make me feel really old, but whose granddaughter are you? My mother was Lester Platter's second wife. I came to Iowa to live with my mother after she remarried so I knew all of the "aunts". I didn't know any of them very well, of course, since none of them lived in Polk Co. but there were lots of family reunions, etc. in the summer. I have a copy of Rev. Platter's family history back through the Swiss migration to Germany. Perhaps we could "share and compare". Pam

Look for your surnames or share anything you think others might be interested in. Schools, churchs, parks, street and town views, groups, railroad related, homestead photos and more.
Dear list, I have been trying for some time to unscramble these Wilson names. This index contains all the information I've collected so far from several sources and has been useful in tracing some of these folks. If you have a Wilson interest in Southeast Indiana, please check it out at: http://www.chesco.com/~hclup/NewGoreWilsonbyCo.htm If you have any comments, corrections or additions, I'd be happy to get them. I'm particularly interested in adding any will abstracts that you may have on hand that mention the Wilson surname. Just send to me directly. I plan to update the index periodically and repost. Thank you, Harold Clupper hclup@chesco.com (Chester Co. PA)
