I am thrilled to announce that GenFest 2009 will be in Shelbyville, IN, hosted by the Shelby County Genealogical Society. Lynne King and I met with them in August to confirm their involvement and hear what they have planned. What a fantastic group and so full of wonderful ideas for the 2009 event. Shelbyville has the perfect set up with all their primary partners (Historical Soc., museum, library, etc.) located within a block of each other. They are busting at the seams with any amenity attendees will need to make a trip to GenFest 2009 worthwhile. I will be sending more details very soon, along with a website link so you can watch GenFest 2009 grow and begin making your plans early. More great news! GenFest 2010 is already in early planning stages and will be back in Muncie, hosted by the Muncie Public Library. As you know, they hosted our very first event and are eager to do it again.
