An obit might shed some light for you. There was a Ridgeville newspaper during this time period. I have an index somewhere here, I will look to see if there was one, you can then request a copy from the Indiana State Library, as there is only one microfilm copy in the Ridgeville Library, but no way to make a copy of it. I will also try to look for one in the Winchester Papers one night this coming week on my way home from work. The papers were really good usually to note any soldier's death, and their war info.
