Puckett was a former was a former resident of Winchester and went to Dayton, Ohio, ten years ago. He passed away at his home there after a lingering illness. A widow and one child survive. The remains were taken to Cincinnati, Thursday, and cremated. Puckett, when a resident of Winchester was engaged in the paper hanging and paint business and was well known. The deceased was a veteran of the civil war and the members of the Chickamauga Circle of Ladies of the Grand Army conducted the flag services, while the ritualistic work of Old Guard Corps was also used. Mr. Puckett served as a member of Co. G, 135th Illinois Volunteer Infantry and also in the 153rd Indiana Volunteer Infantry.
