Mr. Carper was born and raised in this community and is well known here as a contractor having built the Randolph Hotel and several other business buildings about the public square. While here he made a great many friends who will seriously feel the loss of his passing away. He married a Winchester girl and they resided here for many years before moving to Indianapolis.
