Henry Smith born 1816 in PA found in Jackson Twp 1880 census with wife Sophronia How can I get his death date? I am hoping to see if he is related to Abraham Smith of Jackson Twp. Lindsey
If he died from 1882 on, it should be in the death index at the museum. Otherwise, might have to seek out his tombstone. Andrea www.randolphcountyindianahistoricalsociety.org She will answer questions for research like searching for a death date, just need to pay for official in depth research requests that includes copies of documents and so on that are in the museum. There is a daughter of an Abraham Smith (born in PA) and Mary Terl? (born in PA), her name was Jamima Mangus, buried at New Lisbon, d 12 Jul 1903, b 26 Aug 1844. Age 59y 11m 16d. (Wife of Eli) There is a daughter of an Abraham Smith and Mary Ferrel, her name was Sarah Jane Lambert, buried at New Lisbon, d 16 Dec 1928, b 17 Jan 1842. Age 86y. (Wife of Isaac) Do these fit into your charting for Abraham? I do not have any documentation that leads to Abraham and Mary to be buried there at New Lisbon. They could have been, but had no marker to be read in the 1980s. You can write to the church, there are a few members who are history buffs, they might be able to give you more info on membership and so on. I am trying to send pictures but my internet is down to 3k for uploading so my outlook keeps timing out before getting them up there to you. Should improve during the night. Andrea
