    1. [INRANDOL] Where is Billy Baker????!!!!???
    2. I want to know who is Billy Baker and where he is! I want his phone number and I want to call him! I have finally been able to spend the last couple of evenings looking at those listings of Union City newspaper obituaries, and I am in awe! What a fantastic job he has done! I knew he had been praised, but I didn't realize the immensity of the project until this week! My husband and I are so happy with all that work! We have had fun reading them! Even when we found my husband's grandmother's name nearly unrecognizable, we realized that it probably was printed that way in the paper, and that's how Billy transcribed it. I love the beautiful old obituaries - what tributes they were to the deceased! They make the modern obituaries seem cold and dry. I noticed how they progressively were getting more brief and less informative as we moved up to 1941. I would love to have an opinion from an old newspaper-person on why they have evolved suchly. Probably matters of space, plus possibly matters of liability. I kept thinking as I was reading that those obituaries in the 30s were what sold those newspaprs! Did Billy actually do all that trascribing himself? How long did it take him to do those eight years? Is he continuing to do more Union City years? Can he be coerced into doing the same with other Randolph County newspapers? What a valuable service this is to those of us who are seeking! Maybe I am uninformed and there has been this service already done with listing other newspaper obituaries, but this is the first I have seen. Billy!! Please give me your telephone number so we can call you! Thank you, Nancy Hammer, Cheyenne Wyoming
