Sabrina, You have done a great job on Arba, I saw all the information you have contributed to the Find A Grave website. I linked that page to the Randolph County page. I have had several people ask about individual photos of tombstones, and saw what you have done on that site. I thought it was a great place to share information. I haven't added my photos to it yet, is it fairly easy to upload the photos??? We are working on a website, and are actually compiling information for a book about the families of this area. In the meantime though, I have included a list of all the surnames at Arba. If you suspect you have a relative buried there, I would be happy to send the transcription of the tombstone, photos, and any info. that we have collected on the family. > Here's the list of surnames: > Anderson > Arnold > Austin > Bailey > Barnes > Beetley > Benge > Berry > Best > Bond > Bowen > Britten > Brown (lots of Browns) > Browne > Burgies > Burkett > Cadwallader > Cammack > Charles > Chenoweth > Clark > Clements > Clevenger > Colvin > Conley > Cook > Corbit > Corbitt > Cox > Crawford > Crew > Davis > Defibaugh > Dempsey > Denham > Dixon > Edgerton > Elliot > Ellis > Erwin > Fellow > Ford > Frazier > Fry > Fulghum (lots of Fulghums) > Gabriel > Gaffey > Galbreath > Garber > Gardner > Goggshall > Gonser > Haisley (lots!) > Harmon > Harris > Harrison > Henderson > Henzier > Hensley > Hiatt > Hill > Hodgin > Hoos > Horn > Horne > Houser > Hubbard > Hunt > Hutchens > Johnson > Hones > Jordan > Jordon > Kelley > Kennard > Ketring > King > Kinsey > Kunkle > Lewis > Locke > Long > Longfellow > Lott > Love > Macy > Maines > Manning > Marine > Marshall > Martin > Middleton > Mills > Moody > Moore > Moorman > Morgan > Murray > Myers > Newberry > Newsom > Newton > Nicholson > Nickols > Norris > Nuss > Odell > Outland > Overman > Parker > Peden > Peele > Pelle > Perkins > Petty > Pierson > Platt > Randall > Reece > Reynard > Riner > Robbins > Rodgers > Rogers > Rubey > Rush > Scarce > Sharp > Shores > Shreeve > Skinner (there are tons of Skinners in this cemetery) > Smith > Snively > Taylor > Teaford > Tharp > Thorton > Thorpe > Thomas(lots) > Thompson > Thorpe > Throckmorton > Turner > Vick > Warren > Wasson > Wiggs > Williams > Wilson > Woodruff > Worley > Wright > York > If you suspect that you may have relatives here, I can look at individual names for you. What I have on Find-A-Grave is just a portion of what is at Arba. The biggest problem with Find-A-Grave is that it is very time consuming to upload all of the info. It isn't a complicated process through. It is an interesting website to look through. Many people have contacted us because of Find-A-Grave, so it is worth all of the time that we have invested.
