Re: Hunts: Are they from Huntsville? Sorry, I don't know much about the Hunt line--yet. I hope to discover more. What I do know is that Mary Ann Hunt, b 04 March 1831-d 10 March 1913, married Johnathan Johnson 20 November 1853. (She died in California.) They were my great grandparents. Her parents were Asa Hunt, Jr. (b. 24 May 1807; no dod) and Lydia Stephens. Asa's parents were Asa Hunt, Sr./Sarah Gifford, daughter of Johnathan Gifford and Eunice Beard. Marian
Thanks, Marion. I'll store this info just in case. I have no Hunts to my knowledge - yet - but my Pattersons, etc were in Huntsville for a long time. Huntsville has a fascinating history.
