Hello List, The Randolph county email list has started to pick up, which I believe is a good thing. A dead list is not want any one wants. I want everyone to feel welcome to start discussions or to join a discussion. Not everyone is going to be happy with the way the list is being moderated. No matter how I handle the list there is going to be people that get offended or upset or find something to complain about. That is just the way life is. But if everyone tries to be courteous and patient and follow the guidelines, I believe this list could be one of the best genealogy lists on Rootsweb. Some are new to the rootsweb mailing lists and may not know how to do some of the things I mentioned earlier. If you need help,send me an email, and I will try to walk you through it. I want to clarify a few things, Make sure you have a subject in the subject line, if this is done, those who don't wish to bother reading them won't have to... They can use the delete button. Try to remember to snip your messages, so you don't send the whole message that you are replying to. If you have complaints, send them to me,NOT the list. The entire list does not need to see your complaints. My email address is at the bottom of this message. If this starts happening the list will be too busy pointing fingers at each other, and complaining instead of discussing Genealogy and History. I want everyone to enjoy the list, and to participate in the discussions. I have received complaints that the Randolph list is not very friendly or helpful. And I don't want any of our listers getting that feeling. So in order to keep a happy medium between all the different listers try to keep these things in mind. I think there has been enough said about this matter on the actual list, if you have any comments or suggestions please send them to me.
