Hello List, I have finally gotten some more things added to the website! Austin Cox compiled a list of Burials for the 2003 year, for the Fountain Park Cemetery. I took his list and used the S. S. Index and tried to fill in as many dates as possible. Some of the burials that occurred after Sept. didn't have records available yet. I talked with the sexton from Fountain Park, and he said we could have his records for the website. But they are in books and need to be transcribed. He has no way of copying them. He did say that we could come in and make a list from his books. I will not be able to do this myself, unfortunately I have to work the hours he has the office open. So I am looking for a volunteer that lives close to the cemetery, that would be willing to transcribe a list of burials. <G> I know everyone on the list would really appreciate the records. Venus Fillmore and Marion Vaughn has contributed a Starbuck/Simmons Bible I have the photos of this Bible online. And I will be working on transcribing the records from it and will have a link to them on this page. Some of the surnames mentioned are Starbuck, Simmons, Brown and Alexander. Venus has established a genealogy and history library in the town hall of Valley Head, AL. She is helping Marion work on her family history. Donald Peacock is working on getting me a list of all the burials in the Jericho cemetery. I have started working on the index for this cemetery. It is rather large and will take some time. I hope everyone enjoys the updates. And as always if you have anything to add or find any broken links please let me know.
