I'm looking for any connection to John S. Martin. He shows up in the 1880 census for Jay County with first wife, Margaret (???) and two sons, Leonidas, 16 and William, 14. Margaret disappears from the picture because he marries my Eliza E. Patterson Sept 4, 1889 in Randolph County. John was a shoemaker in Portland. I don't know if Eliza and John had children or when John or Eliza died. I do know that in later censuses, Eliza's mother, Jane Patterson lives with her daughter on Water St. in Portland and Eliza is listed as a widow. I'd love to connect with anyone in this line.
