That was fast. You must have better access to the census or something than I do.I have been waiting for Ancestry.com to index the 1860 census as they have promised each time the want me to subcribe for another year. I think you have found Reuben's wife. I would espect her to be older and I expected to find 2 year old Rubin or Reuben James Bumpus with her. Also missing are Reuben's other children, Frederick 27, William 23, Samuel 10 and Arney or Korey 12. I suppose Reuben died. We have a history of high blood pressure in the family that if unchecked will kill in the late 50's. Reuben would be 60 in 1860. As for Joseph Bumpus, Reuben had a son, Frederick in 1833 but didn't marry Jane Wells until 1835. I make the assumption he was married earlier than 1835 and had more children that Frederick. He was 26 when Frederick was born in Ohio. I think Reuben was in Ohio in 1826. Any way, thank you very much. I'll see what I can make of it. Marlow
