Union City Times-Gazette, Tuesday, February 20, 1940 Aged resident of county dies. - Mrs. Delphina Britt dies at Randolph County hospital. Mrs. Delphina Britt, 78, widow of James C. Britt, died at the Randolph County hospital at 10:30 o'clock Monday evening. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Clyde Spence of Brockway, Pa., Mrs. Loa Bane of Atlanta, Ga., Ethel and Hazel at home; six sons, Fred of Mishawaka, Oscar of Washington, D. C., Ralph of Atlanta, Ga., Dewey of Muncie, Orville and Russell of Winchester. The body was removed to the Fraze funeral home at Winchester for burial preparations. Surviving are ... Oscar of Washington, D. C., Any idea if this Oscar Britt was married to Mabel Ethel Iliff and if he was born in 1886 and died in 1956? She was married to Oscar L. Britt and, I believe, lived in D. C. for a time. She was my wife's great aunt. I've never had any information about his family, but I recall hearing stories about "Aunt Mabel's" visits to Indiana from time to time.
