Does anyone know anything about how the WPA program was administered? Did they hire workers in the area where the worker lived, or did they hire them and send them where there was work to be done? I'm trying to figure out how one of my ancestors ended up in Iowa when he'd lived all of his life in Indiana...and I know that he was working for the WPA in the state of Iowa in the 1930s. I'm just wondering if he had another reason for making the move, or if he might have been sent to a different state because he was employed by the WPA at the time????
