If you click on the Search Records at the top of the page and when that page appears put in the name of the person you are looking for, indicate you want to search in the US and which state and then at the bottom of the page put in 1860 for the time period and then choose census records to search and most of the time it will give you the information. You will still have to search that record yourself but at least you will have a starting point. Also sometime you will want to use the soundex option. Good hunting. Don
