They had 3 sons, one (Howard) who died at the age of 12. The other two sons, Cassius James and Taylor M, were just 9 and 16 (respectively) in the year 1865. Alexander died May 18th, 1865, in Randolph Co. I do not have an exact death date for Sarah, but she also died in 1865. I'm wondering who took care of Cassius and Taylor after their parents died. Perhaps their half-brother Hezekiah Campbell, from Alexander's previous marriage to Susanna Brown? In the 1880 census, Cassius is living with William A Campbell, one of Hezekiah's sons. This is a little family mystery I'm trying to shed some light on, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
