His father was Nathaniel McNees, had a farm in Gobleville, Michigan. His brother was Amos McNees, Clarence McNees, and his sisters Lottie McNees of Hartford, and Catherine East of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Nathaniel died in 10-20-40.
