Ralph Howard is my paternal great-grandfather. I wish I could see the book this woman is talking about, as she mentions my immediate family. I know there are some Smetzers in my family, but I don't know too much about them. Most of my earlier relatives (Howards and McDowells) all are from the midwest (Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania).
